Red arrow is like a drug in this show. Everyone uses it, anywhere.

Not going to lie, watching all those suits in black working for that God Candidate girl looked like something out of a crime thriller. Yuri feels like one of those characters that fights for their own interests and hardly trustworthy.

Of course they wouldn't all agree to Mirai's ideal world and how he perceives the god's role... though now we have the last candidate who got revealed and turns out that after L's discount version we have Zaraki Kenpachi as a mad scientist who seems to be the biggest threat especially because of his influence, calling the prime minister like that xD But now the army is actually attacking them, I wonder what will happen with this situation

The final god candidate makes his appearance. Yuri breaking out to start the episode was a nice trick. Fooling those government agents enough to get out of the compound. Now she has a pair of wings so Yuri can join the rest of the group that's been formed to decide whom the next god needs to be. Those discussions don't go that well, at least for Mirai. His outlook that he's had basically this whole time kinda gets rebuffed by Nakaumi. The latter thinking that he could be the next god since when one of them becomes god they have to leave earth forever and look over all of humanity from heaven. So that puts a damper on Mirai becoming god since he wants to find his own happiness in the world not basically play babysitter for eternity. Nakaumi does plead a good case at least except for the lauding suicide thing but he does empathize more with people whom are downtrodden than Mirai does. Them all making their public appearance meeting the last candidate angel doesn't go well. The angel is very standoffish which matches her candidate Professor Yoneda. Him watching from a distance as the other candidates show themselves. His monologue earlier in the episode shows his disgruntled view of things too. Yoneda definitely isn't gonna roll over and let the others decide God.

Alright, the angel of darkness actually led all the God Candidate with the little knowledge of the God into making the boy decide to become the God while creating a clear unwillingness for mirai, and the rest, whose obviously still didn't wanna leave the lovely earth. Such a smart, yet, dark way to pulling all around into the 'better path' for the boy, because he's truly the only one that willingly wanna leave. But, Mirai still persistent there, even though he still couldn't comes up with a solid idea of his own idealism.

Then, as the angel of darkness said, there's still one more trouble occured, the angel of destruction and partner. Not to mention those scientist Kenpachi also voiced by Tsuda Kenjirou. Its sure doubled digit all the trouble.

Good job for choosing him to the last character roll, because he just perfectly suit well with the scientist characteristic, and its sure adding more thrill into the overall nuance. Hah the punk kid considered the situation as class presentation. Nice said, bro. So, really looking forward to see how well they present their vision when become the god. If they couldn't manage to persuade 'the great sensei' that even PM willing to listen to his request, lets just say farewell to the whole world, then...

Why do I feel like we will be having an entire episode of cheap philosophy lessons next week?...

Also was totally expecting Angel of Destruction's design to be sick af but we got an old hag instead. Man, Poliman's arc was shit but I'm missing Meyza a hella lot.

Hmm good episode.

Temari was able to escape and meet with the others, she's pretty cute ngl.

They all ended up voting for the melancholic mf Nakaumi to be the next god.

We finally meet the remaining god candidate as well, he's a scientist and damn that angel, ugliest angel ever.

I still think it would be best to make Mirai the god.

Looking forward to see how this turns out, we still have 6 episodes left, I wonder what's gonna happen.

You know what, I actually genuinely enjoyed this episode, and not in a it's so bad it's good kind of way- I actually kind of cared about what was going on. It's probably Tsuda Kenjiro coming in to save the day; dude could voice a loli character and still be intimidating

That was a thrilling episode. The Professor was voiced by Tsuda Kenjiro and they couldn't have chosen a more suitable person. He seems to know more about the God selection process and his angle is really creepy.

There doesn't seem to be a villain like Metropoliman at this point, and I honestly like it. It's just a battle of ideals now. And of course Nobel Prize dude is voiced by Tsuda lmao.

I don't really think there's an active villain as of right now. I was expecting the professor to be somewhat antagonistic, but the way he went to call the prime minister to try and persuade him to call off the attempted capture of the other god candidates does leave a good impression on me. Also, Tsuda Kenjiro was a great choice in using his insanely low vocal range in voicing the professor here.

Aside from that, the group's debate beforehand in what ideal candidate should be chosen led to the depressed Nakaumi getting the majority vote. He was right to put Mirai on the spot with how reluctant he was with what he wanted to do if he was to become god.

Overall, this episode was pretty decent and it ended on a rather intriguing point as well. Hopefully the next episode will confirm for me whether the professor is fully trustworthy or not.

Every main character can teleport anywhere instantly. They could have taken her out of the building at any time they wanted with absolutely no planning whatsoever. At the bare minimum they could've grabbed her as soon as the window was open.

It's insane that this series is from the same creators as Death Note. Obviously Death Note became an extremely different (and mostly much worse) series after the mid-point but this show never got even close to as good as the worst parts of Death Note. It's all just so sloppy and dumb and nonsensical. I'm usually suspicious when people are like "ohh just wait until it gets terrible" but ever since Metropoliman's laughably bad motivation reveal (I laughed so hard at how he killed his idiot sister) I've been hate-watching this car crash purely out of sick curiosity. There's no way it could possibly be worth my time to finish but there's only 6 episodes left and I have to see the splat.

The angel of destruction needs some more meat on her bones, and carmex asap. Honestly I liked this episode, I especially like that were not getting another Metropolitan. Where getting a smart Nobel winning scientist, who's clouded in grayish judgement. There's clearly a side of him that wants to talk things out. He just wants to figure out what they'd do if they'd become God.

"But killing is bad" "it's not fair" "It's not right", Mirai repeating those again without any meaning behind the.

But at least the kid has a reason to be a god candidate now. And my favourite voice actor Tsuda, Kenjirou is in it.

Great episode! So Temari faked being dead and shot all three of the people checking on her with a red arrow to assist her to get out of where she was. However, she only has 6 red arrows left and a lot of armed people to try stop her escaping. The person they actually captured was Tanaka xD. She ends up escaping and is greeted by Susumu, Mirai and Saki. Temari wants her reward for escaping so gets her own pair of wings. We learn if one of the candidates become God, they are allowed to let the other candidates to keep their wings and arrows as well as erase the fact the whole selection process ever happened. They can also have an infinite number of red and white arrows. They can't, however, live in the world they create...
Shuji proposes of no one else wants to be God, he will be up for the job where he can help people such as his brother. Mirai doesn't believe in allowing people to keep their wings and arrows is good for them. Shuji then says he will take the arrows and wings of those who don't want them but also says he will create a world which approves of suicide. He wins the vote of becoming God as well but now needs to get the approval of the last God candidate who has the Angel Of Destruction... Muni. We also see a scientist who is the last God Candidate. His angel appears before the other God candidates but not him... He wants to know what each of the candidates would do once they became God and a five minute overview of it.
Before they can do so, however, the government comes to attack them or 'secure them' as the prime minster says.

Looking forward to the next episode!

Learning that the winning god must control the world from the heavens and not live as they wish on Earth, several of the god candidates back out and they democratically elect Nakaumi, who would rather recluse himself from world any way, as the next god.

But this scientist guy wants to evaluate them individually. Unfortunately for him, the Prime Minister of Japan also interferes.

The last god candidate is an intriguing character... Though he seems like the worst possible pick. Humans are sensitive, emotional creatures.
Someone who lacks emotions and always bases their decisions on concrete facts and logic, will likely not be able to consider adding complex feelings when solving the equation of "how the world of men should work" formula. Eventually this will lead to mankind's annihilation or turn everyone into emotionless zombies/robots who always "do things logically", buck lack imagination and can't love or show empathy.

Yuri Temari just got a sweet deal from the Angels, knowing that she can control humans to her use with her Angel Yazeli to escape with help from Hoshi.

The choosing of God from the 5 out of 6 candidates available now, rather than letting humans do the work, the proposal of Angels doing that decision will be better instead, since everyone has different ideologies. But Susumu acts different, that he wants democracy instead of fighting, which hastens the choosing process rather than letting the situation turn sour, and the majority vote goes to the suicidal first-grader kid Nakaumi.

The ultimate problem is the last remaining candidate: the Prodessor Emeritus Yoneda and his Angel Muni, the Angel of Destruction. He's yet another Kanade Uryu, with an ideaology that is more of less the same of his but acts somewhat different. The depiction of the Last Supper just elevates how terrifying this candidate can be, and if that's not enough, the meeting of all God candidates in Yurakucho City is just telling while the seeds are sown.

Do not attack, but secure them.

Yes TsudaKen! perfect for this scientist.

This second cour is just like Babylon.

I would choose Nakaumi too. And I'm impressed that Saki even tho being in Mirai's red arrow still chose Nakaumi. Literally the one and only thing I liked about her.

And people like Mirai with such normie views really makes me sick. You talk about happiness but what if dying is their happiness, even if their reason seems dumb to you even if what they're feeling is just a temporary feeling, it's their life let them end it if they want to end it. It's contradictory if you go against their view of happiness just because it goes against your ideal.

And Muni is such a creepy looking angel, pretty fitting for an angel of destruction.

I like the views of this new God Candidate.

It's still going just like the way I thought it would go. They're gonna do this voting thing and elect the God. But if a God can do anything then I'm sure they can make everyone forget about the God Candidate stuff and then decide to live as a human by giving up their title and power of the God.

I'm assuming yoneda was just freshly introduced but awwww maaaaaan you have no idea how wrong that assessment is

Yoneda is pretty much the anti-scientist.
Instead of baseing everything on concrete facts you just makes up a conclusion and shoehorns all the evidence so it fits his narrative.

Meanwhile all the characters just pretend like he is saying something smart

This character single handedly kills the story tbh

Animation is going downhill more and more. Whatever happened to Saki's scar? It's like the animators forgot about it. I don't blame them.
Mirai and Saki look like bootleg Ereh yogurt and Mikasus.

The professor candidate is pretty interesting and it looks like at least the next couple of episodes are going to be interesting... by platinum end standards. It can't go lower than this unless the spoilers I got about the ending is true. I just can't take his ridiculous hairstyle seriously.

they are cutting too much from the manga.
they already cut the whole saki and mirai going back to school, and saki's scar thing was really matter of second lol.
but now they eliminated whole character presentation.
it's been a while since i read the manga, but i remember yoneda to actually trying suicide, and not because "he had thought about suicide working on human deaths" he had been god candidate lol. and in the manga he actually asks his angel some staff.
in short, they didn't presented him properly, and rushed here things too much.
(not to talk about they cut the "making dinner" scenes from the manga...)

the "kami election" at the start was at least better than the rest of the episode...

the hero's treatment of other people's suicidal behavior aka depression is so ridiculously gross lol. This guy really thinks he has it all figured out for people who are depressed enough to take their own lives. The bs he said in this and the previous episode are basically "cheer up", which is exactly what every therapist says you shouldn't do towards depressed people. Really makes me angry how bad and childish this shit is.
If you haven't watched "Fantastic Children", don't talk about "best anime". Thank you.
